Day of arrival

Guests arrive at Nogatsaa Pans around midday or during the afternoon.

The amazing staff at Nogatsaa Pans will welcome you on arrival. A short briefing will be done in the main lounge while enjoying the great views of the Kwikamba Pans after which you will be shown to your room for relaxation and freshening up.

High Tea is served at 16h00 in the open-plan dining area, where you can enjoy spotting all the game coming down to drink at the Pan. Home-baked cake and savouries, as well as cold refreshments, tea and fresh coffee will be on offer for your enjoyment. You will meet your guide during High Tea – he will at this stage get your orders for refreshments during your afternoon Sundowner drive. The afternoon sunset game drive departs around 16h30 utilising our private network of roads, sundowner drinks to be enjoyed either at the Kabungwa or Nogatsaa Hides.

Herds of elephants, buffalo, impala, kudu, giraffe, zebra, roan antelope, oryx, hyena, lions and leopard are some of the possible sightings around in the area. Not to mention the numerous different bird species, including the Ground Hornbill which is on the vulnerable list.

You will return to camp around 18h30 for a nice hot shower and freshening up. Your guide will meet you at a pre-arranged time at your room to accompany you the Main area for a pre-dinner drink around the bonfire in the Boma and catch up with the other guests and their stories. Dinner is in the Dining Area anytime from 19h30 onwards.

Day 2

You will receive a wakeup call at 5.30am.
Your guide will collect you from your room at 06h00 for breakfast. You have a choice of continental buffet or ordering hot breakfast. Departing at 6h30. A 3-4 hour game drive along a network of roads including visiting the Poha Hide overlooking a waterhole. Here you will enjoy a mid-morning break.

Your professional guide will ensure that you are exposed to all the different landscapes and wildlife the area has to offer and have some outstanding photographic opportunities.

An alternative route would be to Mapororo Hide which showcases endless views over the marsh.

You will return to Nogatsaa Pans for lunch which is served between 13h00 – 14h00.

After lunch you can relax in the lodge area, have a swim or book a spa treatment. We also have Wi-Fi available, letting you connect to loved ones or just catch up on the news.

High Tea and Sundowner Game drive will start again at 16h00 that afternoon.

Day of Departure:

Have a leisurely early morning enjoying your breakfast with the unsurpassed experience of sitting quietly watching as the animals of Africa come down to a waterhole to drink. There is always something to look at, from the resident hippos to the elephants and if you really lucky the predators put on a show for you. Departure normally around 09h00 back to Kasane.

Elegance and authenticity define our cuisine. Each meal is a graceful culinary event, featuring African-inspired themes and locally sourced ingredients.

Breakfasts are hearty and coffee, tea, home baked rusks and biscuits are ready for the early risers at the boma. Home baked biscuits, bread rolls, pastries, cakes and scones are on offer at tea times.

There is always a friendly and helpful staff member on hand to serve up a freshly brewed bodum of coffee. All meals are served overlooking the bush in the main guest area.

The boma is lit in the evenings where guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks. At dinner, wholesome, home cooked meals may be enjoyed. Lunches, dinners, drinks, refreshments and picnic lunches are all included.

Picnic baskets are provided on game drives and enjoyed whilst admiring the African wilderness. Private and intimate dinners are catered for.

We also cater for various diets, vegan, vegetarian, lactose free, gluten free etc.
